Allen(Alleyboy) Wise Obituary

Allen Woodrow Wise was born on February 10, 1952, to the late Anna Vernelle Wise Douglas and Earl Garner. He quietly departed this life on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

He joined Galilee Baptist Church at an early age and attended Westmoreland County Public Schools. Allen was employed with Ingleside Vineyards in Oak Grove, Virginia and Hutt’s Produce in Montross, Virginia until he relocated to Baltimore.
 
Allen, affectionately known as “Alleyboy” enjoyed preparing meals for whoever called on him. He enjoyed watching western movies and WWE Smack Down. His favorite football team was the New York Giants. Alleyboy had a nickname for everyone he encountered.  

He was preceded in death by two children, Allen Woodrow Wise-Corbin Jr. and Tina Rose-Lovette Maith.

His memories will be forever cherished by his two sons: Quentin Wise-Corbin (Korie) and Rakeem Laws; four brothers: Thomas Wise (Geraldine), Gerald Wise (Sandra), Thomas Douglas, and George Douglas (Patricia); four sisters:  Sharon Wise, Brenda Tate (James), Theresa, and Ann Douglas; two aunts, Nannie Ryales (Charles) and Shirley Wise; six grandchildren: Zykeria and Takarra Hall, Kaiden, Kalani, Quest, and Queniya Corbin; great-grandson: Zion Hinton; special friends, Sterling Pierce, Sr. and James Brand; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly. He also leaves a loving and devoted companion, Mary Moore, and an extended family of two bonus daughters: Jamie and Jasmine and two bonus sons: Robert and Phillip Moore of Baltimore, MD.

A Service of Remembrance for Allen W. (Alleyboy) Wise will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of the Galilee Baptist Church, 20461Kings Highway, Montross, Virginia.

Remains may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Friday, March 1 in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 10AM until service time on Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church.
