Andrea Turner Obituary

Andrea Lashawn Turner (Sweet Pea) was a loving mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Andrea passed away suddenly on Monday, November 29, 2022, at Inova Hospital in Lorton, Virginia.

Andrea was born on February 17, 1983, and was baptized at an early age in Zion Baptist Church. Andrea graduated from Fairfax County public schools. She received her certificate in Communications and worked briefly as a health aid.

Andrea loved her two sons so much that she would go to the moon and back for them. She was proud to be their mom. She loved spending time with her family and would be right there if they needed her. She was the life of the party. She loved listening to music, watching comedy shows, dancing, and singing. She loved to sing the song “Silver and Gold”. She was a fashionista; if her hair and nails were not right, then nothing was right.

Andrea, Sweet Pea will be sorely missed. A piece of our circle has been broken but she will forever live in our hearts. No more pain Pea, you don’t have to fight anymore, take your rest and as you always knew; we got your boys.

She leaves to cherish in her memory her two sons, Jhaylen White and Cayden Ross; her parents George and Paulette Bonsu and Robert Smith; her siblings, Andre Turner, Niaya Bonsu, Robert J Taylor, Julius Smith and Demetrius Smith; her aunts, Carol Quander (Stephen Sr.) (preceded in death), Stephanie Turner-Menson, Cassandra Turner-McDonald, Melinda Harvey (Andrew), Latisha Drakeford (Thomas) and Mary Smith; her uncles, Larry Turner (Carolyn), preceded in death), Russell Turner (Katherine), Tracy Turner, Gary Turner, Milton Turner and Maurice Turner (Karen), Joseph Smith (Beryl), James Smith (Marie), Ralph Smith, Deontae Parker and Jerry Smith (preceded in death); her grandparents, Lucy Jane Turner (preceded in death), Al Smith, Shirley Smith and Graham Ball; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, nieces and cousins.

Services of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of the Zion Baptist Church, 1274 Zion Church Road, Kinsale, Virginia.

Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Remains may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Friday, December 9, in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 10AM until service time on Saturday at Zion Baptist Church.
