Brandon Trent Smith

Brandon departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home in King George, Virginia. Brandon was born on August 4, 2005, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to William Smith and Beverly Coleman Smith.

Brandon accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age.

Brandon graduated from King George High in 2023 and held jobs at M.C. Dean Industries in Caroline County and Walmart in King George County.

His favorite football team was the Seattle Seahawks. He loved a good political debate and other interesting topics with family members. He also loved playing video games with friends on his PlayStation game system. Brandon was a sharp dresser who loved vintage clothes. When it came to music he was well rounded and enjoyed several genres. He really enjoyed pickup basketball, fishing, boating, swimming, designing custom apparel, and family celebrations. Chipotle, Crimson Coward, Chick-fil-A, and Pizza Bono, were a few of his favorite food places. He had planned to someday visit Japan.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents: Howard Coleman, Durvell Smith, Catherine Baylor Smith, and Mark Grant.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his parents, William and Beverly Smith; his grandmother, Dorothy “Peggy” Grant; two brothers, Dennis Rankins (Mellonie) William Rankins; godfather, Durvell Smith Jr.; godmothers, Charlene Coleman and Camille Baylor; he also enjoyed a special relationship with his uncle, Will Baylor; great-great aunts: Mary Brooks, Martha Barclay, Ida Hodge, Alice Pryor; great uncles: Wilbert Coleman (Thelma), Marvin Coleman, William Scott (Sharon); great aunts: Lorine Cambridge (Vasco), Shirley Pledger, Hazel Coleman, Mazie Coleman, and Angelene Smith (Charlie); uncles: Durvell Smith Jr, (Rosa), Mark “Bunny” Grant; aunts: Charlene Coleman, Camille Baylor (Will), Myra Hannah, Debra Smith, Cathy Anderson (John), Tamala Brent (Forest); lifelong special friend/cousin, Darius Smith; special friends: Alyssa Benner, Dayvon Bumbrey, Khalil Burton, Gavin Hanrahan, Logan Breen, Johnny Hernandez, and Ethan Chase.
