Clifford Harold Johnson

Clifford Harold Johnson was born July 18, 1947, to Charles Johnson and Geraldine Richards Johnson. He departed this life after a short illness on January 11, 2022, at Bowling Green Health Care Center, Bowling Green, VA.

Clifford attended Westmoreland County Public Schools. He married Thelma Deloris Peyton on June 26, 1966. He took pride in working with his hands as a skilled mason for many years.

He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Nathaniel J. Johnson; and two sisters, Verdeen Dudley and Lucille Beverly.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Thelma; one brother, Charles O. Johnson (Antoinette) of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters, Gwendolyn M. Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Caroline Morton of Bowling Green, VA; his children, Ella R. Johnson (Charlotte) of Leonardtown, MD; Tania C. Johnson (Robert) of King George, VA; Rebecca L. Johnson of King George, VA; Clifford H. Johnson, Jr., of Great Mills, MD; Sherry Lynch-Brown (Derrick) of Baltimore, MD; Terry Ashton (Charles) of Warsaw, VA; and Xavier L. Stewart of Manhattan, KS; one brother-in-law, Willis Peyton of King George, VA; and two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Richards of Colonial Beach, VA and Rebecca Mitchell of King George, VA.

He also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephew

Funeral service for Clifford Johnson of Colonial Beach, Virginia who departed this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 12Noon in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME.

Interment will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery, Colonial Beach, Virginia.

Mr. Johnson may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022, and from 10AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
