De’ella Renae Kelly Pugh, affectionately known as “Nita”, was born on July 13th, 1968, to Lottie Mae Kelly and Herbert Hoover Kelly. She was raised by Edith and Moses Smith.
Nita went home to be with the Lord on September 20th, 2023, at 9:03 a.m. at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, VA. Nita was baptized and joined to Zion Baptist Church at an early age. She was educated in the Westmoreland County Public Schools.
Nita had various jobs. While in the Northern Neck, she married Willie Pugh and traveled to many different states, and over seas. She was very outspoken and made friends everywhere she went.
Nita was preceded in death by parents, Lottie Mae Kelly and Hoover Kelly; sisters, Marianne Newman and Reesey Brown;
brothers, Herbert Hoover Kelly Jr and Lorenzo Kelly; nephews, Javion Kelly, Alonta Rich, and Maliki Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Shanita Wright (Jarrod) of King George, VA, Delshawnda Pugh of Kinsale, VA, and Willie D. Pugh of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren: Aliyah &Trayvon Pugh, David Lane, Kamrin Wright, Kennedy Gant, and Christian Oliver; parents that raised her, Edith and Moses Smith of Kinsale, VA; siblings: James (Sonja), Dorothy (Bill), Jean, John, Rose, Robert (Wanda), Merita, Lucy, Melissa, and Clyde (Aretha); aunts: Dorothy Jones, Sarah Samuels, and Louise Clay; special friends: Shirley Hall, Wayne Anderson, Curtis Fisher, Little Bits, Doby, Waka, and Wada; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other friends.

Funeral Services for Deella R. Pugh will be held on Friday, October 6 at 1PM in the sanctuary of the Zion Baptist Church, 1274 Zion Church Road, Kinsale, Virginia.
Remains may be viewed from 11AM until service time on Friday, October 6 at Zion Baptist Church.
