Howard Ellet Plummer, Sr.

Howard Ellet Plummer Sr., entered eternal peace on Monday, January 16, 2023, in Tappahannock, VA at VCU Hospital. He was born April 15, 1964, to the late Horace and Beatrice Plummer.

Howard received his education in the Northumberland County Public School system. After high school, he then went right into the working field. He worked at Quality Automotive as a laborer, then to South Tech, and then back to FDP until his health began to fail.

To the outside world he was Howard, to the family he was Dad, Pop, Peter, or Superboy. He was a music man that loved all types of music, especially heavy metal with KISS being his favorite. To know Howard, you knew that he had to have ketchup with every meal, especially with pizza and spaghetti. He also had a lot of patience because he taught the younger generation how to drive. He was a gentle giant that was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Plummer Jr., Morris Harris Sr., and Ernest Plummer; and a special nephew, Larry Brooks.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Howard Plummer Jr. (Ebony), two grandchildren, Jay’vion and Omari Plummer; two sisters, Mary Tate and Martha Plummer; two brothers, Charles Plummer and John Plummer “JC”; a host of nieces and nephews; and good friends, James and Nellie Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 12 Noon in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME. 

Remains may be viewed from 10AM until service time.
