James Henry "Bo" Wise, Sr.

James Henry “Bo” Wise Sr. entered eternal rest on October 20, 2021, at his home in Montross, Virginia.

James was born on February 5, 1946, in Westmoreland County to Emma L. Wise. He joined Galilee Baptist Church in Montross, Virginia at an early age.

He is preceded in death by his mother Emma L. Wise; two sisters, June P. Wise and Peggy A. Wise; and one grandson, Rodney Shelton Jr.

James attended Westmoreland County Public Schools, and received his diploma from Columbus Public Schools’ Evening High School. After finishing school, James served in the United States Air Force, and later went on to become a truck driver for many different companies.

You were guaranteed to laugh anytime you were around Bo. He was known for his funny jokes and great sense of humor. He was also a long time Pittsburg Steelers fan.

James leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ahrcete Wise; his three children: Michelle Shelton (Rodney), Kevin Wise (June), and James Wise Jr. (Lynne); his three stepchildren: Xiomara Valencia (Jose), Geraldine Moore (Chris), and Francisco Verdugo; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters: Gloria Wise, Connie Wise, Frances Wise, Sandra Wise, Stacey Ashton, and Gail Wise; two brothers: Thomas Wise (Evelyn) and William Wise (Jean); two aunts: Nannie Ryales (Charles) and Shirley Wise; special cousins: Patricia Henry, Miriam Keeves, Clifton Wise Sr., Howard Wise, Zemely Wise, and Allen Wise; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Graveside service for James "Bo" Wise, Sr., will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11AM at the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, 20461 Kings Highway, Montross, Virginia.

The Reverend Dr. Joseph Haden, Pastor will officiate.

Mr. Wise may be viewed from 5PM until 7PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME.
