Jasmine Reina Peyton was born on April 6, 1988, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Phelps Jasmine was a beloved daughter, mother, and friend to all. Jasmine died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Ruther Glen, Virginia.
As a young child, Jasmine enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed events that brought families, friends and loved ones together.
Jasmine married Torrence Eugene Peyton, they had one child together, Jeremiah Torrence Peyton.
Jasmine attended schools in Ohio, Alaska, Texas, and Virginia culminating in her graduation from Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield County Virginia. Jasmine was enrolled as a college student with American Public University.
Jasmine worked for various retail and wholesale businesses to include ITAC, Amazon, Marriott, and UPS. Jasmine was especially fond of working as a home caregiver for the elderly.
Jasmine was a devoted mother and worked hard to give her son Jeremiah the best life possible. Jeremiah was her heart and soul.
Jasmine was extremely proud of her young son Jeremiah, and she recently began homeschooling him to ensure that he would have the skills and tools needed to flourish in life. A crowning moment in Jasmine’s life was when she and her son Jeremiah were baptized together.
Jasmine will be remembered as a beautiful joyous person who always brought joy and comfort to all who she interacted with. As Jasmine would enter a room, she brightened up the room with her infectious smile and made it a point to give a gentle smile and words of encouragement to all she encountered.
Funeral Services for Jasmine Reina Peyton of Ruther Glen, Virginia will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 1PM in the sanctuary of the Zion Baptist Church, 1274 Zion Church Road, Kinsale, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Remains may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Tuesday, July 25 in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 12 Noon until service time on Wednesday, July 26 at Zion Baptist Church.
