Marcel Jordan Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our beloved son Marcel Jordan on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. We hope that you will keep the family in your prayers.

Marcel Jordan also known as “MJ”, age 16, of Caroline County, VA passed away June 25, 2024, at his home. He was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia on April 14, 2008, to Antonio and Latarshal Jordan.

Marcel attended Caroline County Public schools. He was a rising 11th grader. Marcel enjoyed fishing, playing football and basketball, running cross country, dirt bike riding, gaming, 3-D creations, assembling things, riding electric bikes, playing guitar and keyboard, making music, and just about anything else.

Marcel was good at everything. He loved hanging out with his cousins and friends. He was a “foodie” and loved to bake.

More than anything, Marcel enjoyed spending time with his father, mother, and brother. He especially enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his father and brother and long talks with his mother.

Marcel was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Louise White, Ida Mae Jackson, Blanche Davis, and Farrish and Reaver Purce, and grandparent, George Jackson; godsister, Tiara McDowney.

Marcel is survived by his loving parents, Antonio and Latarshal Jordan; his doting brother, Chase Jordan; maternal grandparents, Tony and Mary Jo White; paternal grandmother, Betty Jordan; great grandparents, Archie White, James Johnson (Phyllis), and Clarence Jackson; aunts, Dorthea Milstead (Robert), Patrice Jordan, Aiyanna and Arvay Johnson; Uncles, Tony White, Jr and Patrick Jackson; godmother, Ramonda Pollard (Eric); godfather, Walter “Shorty” McDowney, Jr. (Tiffany); “Mama Dee” Denise White; godsister, Sadia Pollard; godbrothers, Ty’Shaun McDowney, Sadat Pollard, and Tre’von McDowney; and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
