Marcella Johnson, daughter of the late Leonard and Mamie Johnson, was born on April 13, 1966, and departed this life on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Marcella was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and received her education through the Westmoreland County public school system.
Marcella married the love of her life, Charles Johnson, and they were blessed with two children, Terriel and Charles.
Marcella had a passion for playing Bingo with her family and friends. She loved taking care of people as a caretaker. She also loved her seafood and enjoyed eating out at restaurants. Marcella had a loving heart and big, beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mamie Johnson; grandparents, Moses and Cora Johnson & Moses and Nellie Henry; nephew, Kewaine Jones; goddaughter, LaShonda; uncle, Calvin Johnson.
Marcella leaves to cherish wonderful memories her loving husband, Charles Sr. (Pork Chop); two sons, Terriel and Charles Jr.; mother-in-law, Bertha Johnson; one brother, Dwayne Johnson; five grandchildren: Keysia, Trevon, Keira, Terona, and Kayla; aunts: Gladys and Eliza Henry, Sarah Ball (Thomas); uncle, Jerry Henry (Cheryl); sister-in-law, Maggie Holmes (Bruce); brother-in-law, James Johnson (Rochelle); two nieces, Sherwain Jones and Dominique Ball; great-nephew, Zymire; great-niece, Kayla; special family members, her uncle, Raymon Lewis, Sandra Lee, Ann Rose, Timmy and Tyrone Lewis; her spiritual mom, Carolyn Fisher; great-aunt, Doris Conway; special friends, Robin Fauntleroy, Elaine Taylor, Rosemary Wilson, Betty Harris, Tasha Turner, Pam Gordon, Wendy Bunns, Cynthia Corbin and many more; and a host of cousins and extended family;
Funeral Services for Marcella Johnson will be held on Friday, May 26 at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2404 Nomini Hall Road, Hague, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Remains may be viewed from 10AM until service time on Friday at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
