Margie L. Morrison was the daughter of the late Luther Dean Sr. and Lillian Fauntleroy Dean. Margie was born on April 24, 1940 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
Margie was educated in Richmond County. At an early age, Margie came to know the Lord and joined Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J. B. Lee.
Margie worked many years at Foxwell Seafood, Dean’s Seafood, baby sitting, straightening and curling hair until her health began to fail. She enjoyed reading the Bible, newspaper, writing in her personal diary everyday, watching the soap operas, and just relaxing most of the day.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Dean Sr.; mother, Lillian F. Dean; brothers, Luther Dean Jr., William Dean, and James L. Dean; sisters, Elsie M. Clayton, Romaine Dean; and one grandson, Troy A. Morrison.
Margie leaves to cherish her fond memories two daughters, Joan M. Ball (Wayne) of Fredericksburg, VA and Christine M. Campbell (Raymond) of Montross, VA; son, Vincent A. Morrison of Montross, VA; two brothers, Warren Dean and Lawrence Dean; two sisters, Helen Plummer (Jacob) and Linda Garner (Leroy) all of Oldhams, VA; three grandchildren, Stephanie Morrison of Richmond, VA and Ashley Veney of Tappahannock, VA and Shaquille Muse of Hague, VA; two great-grandchildren, Kai Roper of Richmond, VA and Jai’Sai of Williamsburg, VA; two aunts, Helen Chatwick and Marion Barnes of Pennsylvania; special friends, Helen Cook, Emma Ashton, and Marie Dixon; a great host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Margie Morrison will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2404 Nomini Hall Road, Hague, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her remains may be viewed on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 4PM until 6PM in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 10AM until service time on Friday, June 25, 2021 in the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Baptist Church.
