Marrill William Purce, Jr., affectionately known as “Noonie” by family and friends, entered rest on October 8, 2023, at his home in Colonial Beach, Virginia. Marrill was born on November 21, 1960, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to the late Marrill Purce, Sr. and Margaret Purce.
At a young age, under the pastorate of the Late Rev. Dr. Winston Scott Devaughn, Marrill professed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized, becoming a member of Little Zion Baptist Church, Oak Grove, VA. He attended the Westmoreland County Public Schools system. He worked as a dedicated federal contractor for over 30 years at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA.
In July 2008, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Minister Brenda Smith Purce. He became a stepfather to her two sons, Curtis and Devone Cummings.
Marrill was very friendly, laid back, and always smiling. He was always willing to help anyone in need. His favorite pastime was watching sports; his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. If his team won; he would often mimic Deion Sanders “Prime Time” shuffle.

He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters: Evelyn Wise (Thomas) of Montross VA, Vernessa Carey (Carl) of Ft.
