Martha Elizabeth Thompson Obituary

(Weldon-Fisher Funeral Home does not own the rights to this song)

Martha Elizabeth Thompson, affectionately known as “Lizzie”, was born on December 18, 1931 to the late Robert and Mary Reed. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2021, at VCU Tappahannock Hospital.

In spite of some health challenges she endured with grace and never complained. Lizzie loved her family and the Lord who she served faithfully and encouraged her children and grandchildren to do the same.

Lizzie had a sweet, humble spirit and touched the lives of everyone who came in contact with her.

Lizzie leaves to cherish fond memories her daughters, Mary Thompson and Carol Holmes (Dean); son, Gregory (Wayne) Reed (JoAnn); six grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Denise Smith (James), Tiffany Payton (Vaurice), Brian Mozingo (Sarah), Gregory Mozingo, and Christina Posey (Joe); nine great-grandchildren, Rian, Jayden, Laila, Ezra, Jaasir, Jelani, Janiyah, and King; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Reed, Gladys Reed, and Charlotte Reed; two special nephews, Ben Henry and Albert Henry; Brenda Fauntleroy, Don Henry, Joey Henry, and Melissa Henry whom she loved as her own; Lonnie Thurston who she thought of as a son; special friends, Alverta Branson, Louise Adams, and Melvin Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special Thanks to Shenita Rich and Tonya Thompson for all of your help.
