Myreon S. "Boe" Johnson, Sr.

MYREON S. JOHNSON SR. affectionately known as “Boe” or “Doggpound” departed his life on September 21, 2021, at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital in Fredericksburg,Va.

Myreon was born in Westmoreland County to the late Lettie Johnson and William Brooks. He was preceded in death by his step-father John W. Johnson and brother Francis Johnson.

He received his education in Westmoreland County Public Schools and later went to Flatwood Job Corps in Coeburn ,Va where he obtained his GED and masonry certification.
He was employed as a sub contractor under Kwik Shine Detailing.

“Boe” was the life of the party. His contagious smile would brighten up ANY room and he brought great joy to all whom he encountered. He always made time for his family because “family” was his most prized possession. He not only expressed this through words but he genuinely showed it. He was kind hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite football team “The Dallas Cowboys”and was always the center of attention at family gatherings, whether it was telling jokes, dancing or singing his favorite song (Mom’s Apple Pie). He knew how to keep everyone laughing. His pleasant personality will forever be cherished.

He leaves to treasure his precious memories his children: Krishana Roy, Jakeya Roy, Makalah Roy, Myreon Johnson Jr and Zamia Roy; siblings: Pamela Jones, Naomi {Weldon} Cannady, Adam {Kim} Johnson, Michelle {Anthony} Moore, Michael Johnson and Keith “Pete” {Vanessa} Jones; seven grandchildren: X’ziya, Masiah, Sariah, Kaleah, Kalaya, Zyelle and Zymier whom he loved dearly; niece, Octavia {Chris} Parker who was more like a daughter; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; special friend for many years, Angela Roy; his sidekick, William Roy; and good friends for many years, Joe and Theresa Fulcher, Micheal Brooks and Gwendolyn Gaskins

Graveside service for Myreon Johnson will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1PM in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery, 1614 Zacata Road, Montross, Virginia

Mr. Johnson may be viewed on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 4PM until 6PM in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME, and a walk through viewing (Mask Required)  from 11AM until service time on Wednesday October 6 in the sanctuary of the Siloam Baptist Church.
