Oleather Anne Curry of Westmoreland County, Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at her home.
Oleather Anne Curry was called home peacefully to be with the Lord on September 13, 2022.
Oleather, who was called Anne by most, was born March 27, 1949, to James Hall (father) and Martha Straughter (mother) in Kinsale, Virginia. She was their second child following behind her dearly loved brother James Hall. After her mother’s passing, she was adopted by Winnie Gaskins and moved to Montross.
Anne graduated from A.T. Johnson High School. Anne moved to Washington DC in 1968. In 1969 she had her only child, Irving Curry who she affectionately called “Puddin”. She worked as a sales representative for AT&T. She retired from AT&T after 30 years with the company.
On December 10, 1977, Anne married Gerald Curry. Anne enjoyed dancing, music, playing softball, card games and going to the casino to play the slot machines.
Anne lives on through her brother, James Hall, son, Irving Curry and granddaughter Nahji Curry.
Anne leaves to cherish her precious memory plenty of cousins and friends: Tammy Johnson, Eva Jackson, Debbie Cockerell, Valerie Gray, Alphonso Straughter, Webster Straughter, Thomas Redmond, Johnathan Redmond, Wilson Redmond, Maurice Redmond, Myra Redmond. Nephew James Hall. and friends Burle Smith, Breon Bell, Elsie Barnes, Warren Mahoney, play daughter Janice Davis
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 1PM in the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2404 Nomini Hall Road, Hague, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Remains may be viewed from 11AM until service time on Friday, September 23 at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
