Robert Arthur Crawley Jr. quietly departed this life on Sunday April 14, 2024 at home in Warsaw VA. He was born to Elsie Crawley and the late Robert Arthur Crawley Sr. He joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age.
Robert known as “Sport” enjoyed fishing, putting together model cars, and working on cars. Sport was employed by Jim Rock, Robert Gawen, and Jones Brothers in his earlier years. Due to his health, he remained unemployed and was unable to work.
Sport was preceded in death by his father, Robert Arthur Crawley Sr.
Sport’s honorable life and memories will be forever cherished by his mother, Elsie Crawley; his sisters: Pebbles Crawley, Stacey Wise (Clifton), Marge Jackson (Brian), Crystal Crawley (Shank), Madge Jackson, Robbin Blue, Marquita Shabazz, Jackie Coleman(Troy), Frances Parker (Robert); two daughters, Charmaine Thompson and Latrina Crawley; grandchildren: Aniyah Thompson, Giovonni Johnson, Zayonna Thompson, Dakiera Jones, D’Lyasia Sumiel, Ayden Crawley, Warren Childs Jr.; he leaves behind his devoted companion, Bonnie Cobb; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Robert Crawley, Jr., will be held on Friday, May 3 at 11AM in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME.
