Robert J. Haynie

Robert James Haynie “Bob”, peacefully passed away in his home at Warsaw Manor on April 29, 2024. He was born in Richmond County on April 11, 1944, to the late Robert Haynie Sr. and Martha Mattie Haynie.

Bob was one of six children. He attended Richmond County Public Schools. He was married and had three children.

Bob joined Mulberry Baptist Church at an early age. He worked several jobs in his career until his health began to fail.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert Haynie Sr.; mother, Martha Mattie Haynie; and son, Robert Haynie III.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory two children, Amelia Haynie and Stafford Haynie both of North Carolina; three sisters: Mary Dorothy Ball Kelly, Gustella Ball (Oscar), and Shirley Robertson; an uncle, Albert Veney (Rose); 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and special friends, Jeffrey Newman and Ralph Colman.

A Funeral  Service for Robert J. Haynie will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 11AM in the sanctuary of the Mulberry Baptist Church, 1156 Mulberry Road, Farnham, Virginia.

Interment will follow in the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery.

Remains may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Friday, May 17 in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME, and from 10 AM until service time on Saturday, May 18 at Mulberry Baptist Church.
