Stanley L. Lowe Sr., lovingly known as “Boo”, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2024, in Baltimore, MD. Born on January 10, 1952, in Tucker Hill, Virginia, Stanley was the beloved son of the late Edward and Gertrude Lowe.
At an early age, Stanley was baptized at the Zion Baptist Church under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Waverly Taylor in Kinsale, Virginia. He received his education in Westmoreland County Public Schools before relocating to Baltimore, MD in 1970.
Stanley began his career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development before venturing into business. In 1989, he founded Lowe’s Property Service, a family-run enterprise that he owned and operated alongside his children until his retirement in 2016 due to illness. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched by his compassion, as Stanley believed in second chances and often employed those in his community who were in need of work.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Stanley particularly loved tennis and was a passionate supporter of his hometown teams, the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. A man of many talents, Stanley was known as a “jack of all trades” and found joy in helping others, both through his work and his kindness.
Stanley was a devoted husband to Francina Lowe, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Stanley’s legacy lives on through his devoted wife and his beloved children: Stanley Jr. (Yolanda), Lamar Sr., Brandon, Stacie Isley (James), Stanza, and Heather Boyd (Myron). Stanley’s legacy lives on through his 14 grandchildren: Ameellah, Brandi, Anyah, Nyla,Madison, Lamar Jr., Tariq, Aaron, Stanley III, Daevion, Dominic, Chamar, Bryson, and Dylan. He was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Miracle, and cherished his goddaughter, Jacklyn Harrison. Stanley is also survived by his siblings three sisters: Virginia, Patsy, and Mary Lee (James); sisters-in-law, Stephanie Ray (Oscar) and Renee Mobley; two brothers-in-law, Donel Mobley(Shirley), and Henry Thompson; special friends, Levi Johnson and Gary Thomas
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gertrude Lowe; his sisters: Constance, Jackie, Miranda, Ann, and Zell; and his brothers, William and Talmage.
Stanley’s generosity, love for his family, and commitment to his community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Home going Services for Stanley L. Lowe will be held on Wednesday, October 16, at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of the Zion Baptist Church, 1274 Zion Church Road, Kinsale, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Remains may be viewed from 10AM until service time on Wednesday, October 16, at Zion Baptist Church.
