Timothy Lewis Obituary

Timothy Ryan Lewis was born September 13, 1973, In Richmond, Virginia to Deacon Sandra Lewis and Willie A. Laws. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Warsaw, Virginia at Mackey’s Pool, under the leadership of Rev. Leon Baylor. He served on the Sunbeam and Junior Choir, the Jr. Usher Ministry, Sunday School, and Jr. Missionary. Timothy helped his Grandma serve Meals on Wheels as his community involvement with Cub Scout Pack #270.


Timothy was educated in the Westmoreland County School System.  He graduated from Washington and Lee High School in June 1992.
Timothy did his studies at Strayer University. He was employed by D.C. Government working as a Contract Manager and with WKM until his passing.
 
Timothy departed this life at his childhood home in Hague, Virginia, surrounded by his mother and godmother, Bertha Johnson. On Sunday morning, December 15, 2024, Timothy went from labor to reward.

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Deaconess Hilda Lewis and Eleanor Laws; grandfathers, Russell Lewis and Nevis Carter; aunts: Mary Carey, Juanita Lewis, Ernestine Sorrell; uncles: Rev. Randolph Lewis, James Lewis, Charles Lewis, Larry Veney; cousins: Ray and CaSandra Lewis, Tonika Lewis, and Tamara Johnson.

Timothy leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Deacon Sandra Lewis and father, Willie Laws; two brothers, Tyrone (Lanham, MD) and Jonathan Lewis (Hague, VA); godmothers, Bertha Johnson (Hague, VA) and Ann Rose (Hague, VA); two godbrothers that were raised up as his brothers, James Johnson (Rachelle) Richmond, VA., Charles Johnson, Callao VA and the late Brian Johnson; three godsisters: Maggie Holmes (Bruce) Hustle, VA, Debbie Rose and LaToya Rose, Woodbridge, VA; aunts: Fern, Barbara, Connie, Gail (Emanuel) Hazel, Jean (Joe) Thelma, Lena (Nedd) and Elaine, Deacon Shirley Lewis, and Lee Esther Norris; uncles: Raymond Lewis (Woodbine NJ), Joe Lewis (Suffolk, VA), Ronald, Timothy, Bill (Debbie), Wayne (Gulilia), Tony (Vergie), Frank (Geri), Howard (Gwen), Nevis, Jessie, and Herbert; nephews: Brian Williams, Jamel, Javien, Blair, Joshua, Charles Jr., Isaiah, Kenton, Kevin, Johnathon Pleasant, Damiya Pleasant, Armon Tamoz May, Trenton Gaskins, Terriel Johnson; nieces: Jameka Johnson, Alena Lewis, and Kemani Johnson; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.

A Funeral Service for Timothy Lewis will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 12 Noon in the auditorium of the Westmoreland High School, Montross, Virginia 

Interment will follow in the Potomac Baptist Church Cemetery, 6099 Nomini Hall Road, Hague, Virginia.

The viewing will be on Friday, December 27 from 4PM until 6PM in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 10 AM until service time on Saturday, December 28 at the high school.
