Obituary

Torrence Eugene Peyton, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend of many departed this life on July 15, 2023, at his residence in Ruther Glen, Virginia.

Torrence, known by his family and friends as “Toe”, accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. After graduating from high school, Toe chose a remarkable choice by joining the United States Air Force, serving 4 years.

Torrence furthered his career at the Haynesville Correctional Center, Haynesville, VA as a Security Officer. He used his expertise experience and accepted a job at the United States Department of Defense, Dahlgren, VA, where he became a Law Enforcement Officer. His smile was overwhelming greeting others as they entered in Navy yard base. Feeling the need to protect others, he started working as a Security Guard at Wegmans, maintaining his humble and affectionate heart for others.

Torrence was loved by many. While staying focused with his family and career, Toe always found the desired time to stay connected to his parents and siblings. Their BOND never ceased; reassuring their needs were met. His smile alone would lift up the world, reminding others, “SMILE, every day is a beautiful day.”

Torrence left many saddened by his sudden death, but God had other plans. He is proceeded by his grandparents, Calvin and Louise Ball and uncle, Calvin Ball, Jr.
