'UPDATE" William Green Obituary
William Henry “Timmy” Green was born April 18, 1950 to the late Anderson S. and Mary E. He departed his earthly life on Friday, November 19, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Timmy attended public school in Washington D.C., where he spent his childhood and some of his adult life. His heart, though, belonged to Westmoreland County, where he eventually settled with his loving wife, Barbara Jean “Pinky”.
Timmy loved deeply and those who were fortunate enough to establish a relationship with him knew he loved his family, fishing, hunting, racing, and the Washington Football Team, formerly the “ Washington Redskins”. Folks would be entertained on Facebook with his “Redskins vs. Dallas” trash talk. Tim had a natural talent as an automotive mechanic.
The oldest child of Anderson and Mary, Tim’s three sisters, Dydi, Mickey, and Marie competed for his love and attention, which he lavished on them. He was spoiled rotten by all who loved him.
Tim is survived by his devoted companion and wife, Barbara “Pinky”, two sisters – Patricia “Dydi” and Marcel “Mickey” (Carton), children – Theresa “Terry”, Antonio “Tony”, Tina, Andre’, Timisha, Michelle, and Dieonne; one adopted daughter Alicia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews and God Children; three aunts; mother-in-law, Hilda F. Lewis; and a whole village of cousins, friends, and co-workers who grieve the loss in his passing.
Funeral service for William "Timmy" Green will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 12 Noon at New Jerusalem Baptist Church (Pavilion), 3695 Kings Mill Road, Kinsale, Virginia.
Interment will be in the New Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Remains may be viewed from 4PM until 6PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME.
