(Update) Bonnie Smith Obituary

(Weldon-Fisher Funeral Home does not own the rights to this song)

On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, Bonnie Henry Smith quietly and peacefully departed this life. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

Bonnie H. Smith was born on June 2, 1949. He was one of many born to Cleveland and Ruth Smith. He expressed his faith in God early in life while attending New Monrovia Baptist Church. He shared friendship with many people. He enjoyed dancing, reminiscing about the old day, and spending time with his family.

He endured many trades while here on earth. He had his own business as a concrete contractor, completing many jobs along side his employees. He also owned dump trucks, an ice cream truck, and vegetable stands, as well as a barbecue stand. He was a hard working man that provided for his family seeing that they never wanted for nothing. If he had it, they got it no matter what time or day of the week it was.

Bonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ruth Smith; his daughters, Charlene Price-Johnson and Lisa Smith; his brothers, Leroy Brown and Pee-Wee; his sisters, Barbara Lucas and Rose Dickens.

The life of Bonnie will be remembered by his wife, Grace Smith; daughters, Sheila West (Jeffrey), Barbara Lane (Randolph), and Tina Scott (Andre); eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Maggie Jordan; three brothers, Cleveland Smith, Danny Smith, and Fred Smith (Ivy); many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends left to cherish his memory.
