Domonique L. Johnson, affectionately known as “Smokey” or “Dom”, departed this life suddenly on July 30, 2022. Domonique was born on January 18, 2001 to LaTeechia and Phillip Johnson.
Dom accepted Christ at an early age at Grant’s Hill Baptist Church. He attended school in Westmoreland County and graduated from Spotsylvania County.
Domonique’s smile could light up the whole room. His hobbies included going to truck and car meets, hanging out with his friends at “the lot”, and going to the track on weekends. Domonique is what every man would want in a son. He did everything he was asked and loved his parents dearly. He was very respectful and very well-mannered.
Domonique was a very hard worker. He also loved spending quality time with his siblings. He was the type of person to help anyone no matter the situation. He also loved learning and being hands-on working with his dad in the garage. He would never hold a grudge with anyone. As he would always say, “they know me out here in these streets.”
Domonique was greeted at the Heavenly gate by: Mary Ashton, Lettie Johnson, Wilbert Jones, Myreon Johnson, Frances Johnson, and Wanda Ashton.
Domonique’s love will forever live on in the hearts of his parents, LaTeechia and Phillip Johnson; his siblings: Ashanti, Jaquan, Paris, Harmony, Ky’Moni Johnson, and Nasir Smith; grandparents: Doris and Phillip Johnson, Naomi and Weldon Cannady, Pamela and Quienton Ashton; aunts: Tonya, Jameke, Jerisha, Kiandrea Johnson, Mia Johnson, Tasha Stewart, and Ketra Dixon; uncles: Derek (Kieria) Travon, Andrew Justin, Robert (Juanita) Devon, Darrnell, Keron, Jyquan Johnson, and Quincy Dixon; godparents, Missy Ashton, Mary Clarke, Angela Roy, and LaToya Jones; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
